New York Doctor Charged as Head of Oxycodone Ring

Dr. Hector Castro, a New York City doctor has been charged for a $10 million dollar scheme for the distribution of Oxycodone Pills. Dr. Castro and several of his New York City office staff are under investigation as the office became grounds for patients to purchase Oxycodone pills along with a variety of other addictive pain killers. Officials say the deals were done as simple as sending a text and arriving at the office with a wad of cash in exchange for the pills. The underground market for prescription drugs exists as a problem today in cities all around the US, not just in major metropolises such as New York City.
